Beautiful Spring/Summer Dresses for Photo Shoots
Below are a few of my favorite new additions to my studio closet in 2021. These dresses photograph beautifully and you can purchase them on Amazon for your child to use for dressing up whenever they like! After a child falls in love with one of my dresses during a photo shoot, the parents ask me where they can buy it. Fortunately much of what I use is very affordable and readily available on Amazon. This champagne lace rustic dress is a favorite for toddlers to young girls as it is fitted but light and flowy. The champagne color is a gorgeous antique white, almost like a tea-stained dye. Simply stunning.
This pink lacy dress is adorable for a first birthday cake smash or a young toddler under 3 years old. I personally removed the black ribbon as I thought it did not fit the style of the dress. The rest of it is well-made for dress up or photos.
This white eyelit lace dress screams childhood wonder and innocence. It is definitely a true white, possibly a light ivory, so on darker skin tones the contrast will be more stark. It is flowy and light, a perfect dress for a summer tea party. I recommend it for ages 2-7.
Oh my! What little girl would not want to be a princess? This dress is regal and she will feel like the belle of the ball. I recommend purchasing a tutu, petticoat, or fluffy underskirt of some kind to achieve the fullness this dress deserves. I recommend this to ages 4-8 or for whatever age your little princess is. A rose-gold slipper fit for a real-life Cinderella... Fair warning, these shoes run about a size large. I purchased them in a size 12 and they fit a little girl with size 13 feet with room to spare. They are well made, shiny, and have a cute little kitten heel for the regal princess in your life.
This is the perfect princess crown to complete the outfit. We did have a little bit of a tough time keeping it on the head of a 6 year old girl so I would recommend it for ages 3-5 perhaps. For older than 6, I would recommend searching for an adult crown and bending it or disguising the back clips in an updo. Overall this is a really gorgeous little crown.
For the princess' baby sister, we placed one of these tiny crowns on her head during her newborn session. There are no clips on these so they are great for dolls or even as cake toppers! I love that the purchase includes a silver and gold one. A perfect addition to my studio.
No studio is complete with out a good steamer. If you plan to purchase any amazon apparel for photo shoots, a steamer is a must-have. I guarantee your clothing or backdrop will come tightly packaged and wrinkled. The steamer is essential for bringing these outfits back to life. Be careful, I have definitely roasted my hand a few times with this steamer.
